Mrs. Morris teaches grade 6,7,8 Literature and  Social Studies.

Social Studies

Grade 6 – Geography of the world and its peoples beginning with Africa and ending with North America.

Grade 7 – United States History I – Pre-Columbian histories to the Civil War and Reconstruction with emphasis on the Constitution

Grade 8 – United States History II – Post Reconstruction to the present and referring to past history and what is happening today.

Literature

Grade 6 – Readings from all genders plus novels such as Holes, A Christmas Carol and The Red Pony.

Grade 7- Readings from all genders plus novels such as The Red Badge of Courage and selection from O’Henry and Poe.

Grade 8- Readings for all genres plus the works of Twain, Our Town and Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Vocabulary all 3 grades- A unit test every 2 weeks.
